Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations training (formerly the Salesforce Associate) - learn Salesforce fundamentals and pass your first Salesforce certification.
Group Enrollment with Friends or Colleagues |
The Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations credential - formerly the Salesforce Certified Associate - validates foundational knowledge of the Salesforce Customer 360 platform. This course prepares you for the exam: understanding the Salesforce ecosystem; navigating Salesforce; the data model (standard objects like accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities and cases, and how they relate); and reports and dashboards - all at a fundamental, awareness level. You earn it by passing one exam (40 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions, 70 minutes) delivered by Pearson VUE - at a test centre or online - with the voucher purchased through Trailhead Academy. There is no prerequisite, and around 0-6 months of Salesforce exposure is recommended. The passing score is reported around 62% (sources vary) - confirm the current figure in the official exam guide. The exam fee is $75 (plus taxes) and retakes are free.
The Salesforce ecosystem is huge, and getting a recognised first certification is a fast, affordable way to show foundational knowledge and start a Salesforce career. This credential proves you understand what Salesforce is, what it does, and how the Customer 360 platform solves business needs. It has no prerequisite and costs just $75 with free retakes, so it is an ideal entry point for career-changers, students and business users - and a natural stepping stone toward the Administrator (Platform Administrator) and other role-based certifications.
