Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration is Cisco's professional-tier collaboration (unified communications) certification. It sits between CCNA (associate) and CCIE Collaboration (expert), and proves you can implement and operate Cisco collaboration technologies. CCNP Collaboration requires two exams. First, the core exam 350-801 CLCOR (Implementing and Operating Cisco Collaboration Core Technologies, updated to version 2.0 on 3 February 2026), a 120-minute exam covering infrastructure and design; protocols, codecs and endpoints; Cisco IOS XE gateways and media resources; call control; quality of service (QoS); and collaboration applications. Second, one concentration exam of your choice - collaboration applications (300-810 CLICA), call control and mobility (300-815 CLACCM), cloud and edge solutions (300-820 CLCEI) or conferencing (300-825 CLCNF). Importantly, passing the core exam alone also earns the standalone Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core certification and meets the core requirement for CCIE Collaboration.
CCNP Collaboration is the professional credential that marks you as a senior unified communications engineer. It proves deep, hands-on skill with call control (Cisco Unified Communications Manager), voice and video endpoints, gateways, QoS and collaboration applications - and it is the gateway toward CCIE Collaboration. Unified communications is a specialised niche that fewer engineers hold, which keeps skilled UC professionals valuable.
