The TOGAF Business Architecture Level 1 credential validates that you understand the key business-architecture techniques of the TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2 - business modeling, business capabilities, value streams, information mapping and TOGAF business scenarios - and how to apply them in developing a business architecture. It is earned by passing the OGB-001 exam and leads to an Open Badge. This is the Version 9.2 business-architecture credential. It is different from the TOGAF Business Architecture Foundation (OGBA-101), which is based on the 10th Edition and has 40 questions; The Open Group supports both, so check which version you need. If your employer or goal specifies the 9.2 credential, this is the right course. The exam is 30 simple multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes, closed book, with each question worth one point; you pass with 60% (18 of 30). There is no prerequisite. The certification does not expire: it is tied to the Version 9.2 Body of Knowledge and has no renewal requirement.
Business architecture connects strategy to execution, and capability mapping and value streams are central to transformation work. This credential shows employers you can model business capabilities, value streams and business needs using the TOGAF approach. It is vendor- neutral and portable, it leads to an Open Badge you can share, it does not expire, and it is a natural business-architecture specialisation for those already holding a TOGAF 9 credential.
