It is earned by passing the TOGAF 9 Part 1 exam (OG0-091). This is the Version 9.2 Foundation certification. It is different from the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation (OGEA-101), which is based on the 10th Edition; The Open Group supports both, so check which version you need. If your employer or goal specifies TOGAF 9, this is the right course. The exam is 40 simple multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, closed book, with each question worth one point; you pass with 55% (22 of 40). There is no prerequisite. Passing gives you the TOGAF 9 Foundation credential and partial credit toward the TOGAF 9 Certified (Level 2) qualification. The certification does not expire: it is tied to the Version 9.2 Body of Knowledge and has no renewal requirement.
