The Georgia Real Estate Salesperson License is the entry-level license to work as a real estate agent in Georgia. A salesperson lists and sells real estate under the supervision of a licensed broker. It is issued by the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) - it is a license, not a certification. To earn it, you complete a 75-hour GREC-approved Salesperson Prelicense Course (passing the course final at 75%), then pass the state exam through PSI (formerly AMP) - about 152 questions across national and Georgia state sections, each requiring 75%. You also complete a GCIC and FBI background check and obtain sponsorship from a Georgia broker to activate the license (you may hold an inactive license without a broker, but renewal fees still apply).
A Georgia real estate salesperson license is your entry into one of the fastest-growing property markets in the country, from metro Atlanta to Savannah, Augusta and the coast. As a licensed salesperson (working under a broker) you can represent buyers and sellers, list and show property, and earn commission.
