The Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Consultant (formerly the Pardot Consultant) validates your ability to design and implement Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) solutions - Salesforce's B2B marketing automation tool. This course prepares you for the exam: discovery and solution design; implementation; lead management; scoring and grading models; Engagement Programs (Engagement Studio); forms and landing pages; email marketing; the Salesforce connector and integration; reporting and analytics; data migration; and optimisation. You earn it by passing one exam (60 questions plus up to 5 unscored, 105 minutes) delivered by Pearson VUE - at a test centre or online - with the voucher purchased through Trailhead Academy. The exam is scenario-based, and the passing score is 68% (confirm the current figure in the official exam guide). The Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist credential (formerly Pardot Specialist) is required first, and around 12 months of hands-on Account Engagement experience is typical.
Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a widely used B2B marketing automation tool, so skilled implementers are in steady demand. This credential proves you can design and implement Account Engagement solutions - lead scoring and grading, Engagement Studio automation, forms, email and the Salesforce connector. Because it builds on the Account Engagement Specialist credential (the prerequisite), it is the natural next step for people who already hold that credential and want to move into consulting.
