The Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Integrations Foundations credential (Mule-101) validates foundational knowledge of integration and API-led connectivity. This course prepares you for the exam: core integration terminology and concepts; integration project roles, responsibilities and lifecycle; API-led connectivity and common integration patterns; the fundamentals of API management; and the core components and benefits of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform - all at a fundamental, awareness level, enough to work as an informed member of a MuleSoft project team. You earn it by passing one entry-level exam (about 40 questions plus a few unscored, roughly 70 minutes) delivered by Pearson VUE - at a test centre or online - with the voucher purchased through Trailhead Academy. There is no prerequisite, though some familiarity with integration concepts helps. The passing score is set by Salesforce - confirm it in the official exam guide, which is the authority (we do not publish a fixed figure). The exam fee is $75 (plus taxes) and retakes are free.
Integration is central to modern enterprises, and MuleSoft is Salesforce's integration technology. A recognised first certification is a fast, affordable way to show you understand integration and API-led connectivity, and to start a career around integration projects. This credential proves you understand core integration concepts, project roles and lifecycle, API management basics, and the fundamentals of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. It has no prerequisite and costs just $75 with free retakes, so it is an ideal entry point for project team members, business analysts and career-changers - and a natural stepping stone toward the MuleSoft Developer and MuleSoft architect certifications.
