Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) is the entry-level low-code certification for the Microsoft business-applications platform. proves you understand the business value and core components of the Power Platform, and can describe how to build apps with Power Apps, automate workflows with Power Automate, analyse and visualise data with Power BI, and build AI copilots with Copilot Studio - all on the shared Dataverse data platform, with little or no coding. The exam has about 40 to 60 questions in roughly 45 to 60 minutes. It is graded on a scaled score: you need 700 on a scale of 1 to 1000 to pass. Because scoring is weighted, 700 does not mean 70% of questions correct. The exam costs about US$99 (varies by region) and is taken online with remote proctoring or at a test centre, delivered through Pearson VUE. There are no prerequisites.
Power Platform Fundamentals is the recognised first step into low-code development on Microsoft's platform. It gives business users the confidence to build apps, automate work and make dashboards without being programmers, supports "citizen developer" and business- analyst roles, and is the gateway to role-based Power Platform certifications.
