This is a mid-level, technical certification for people who work with data and want to build pipelines on AWS. It is ideal for: - Data engineers validating their AWS skills - Data analysts and BI professionals moving to the cloud - Database administrators broadening into data pipelines - Developers moving into data engineering AWS suggests a couple of years of data-engineering experience and familiarity with AWS. There is no hard prerequisite - anyone can register - but this is not a beginner course. If you are new to AWS, start with our Cloud Practitioner course first. A note on the name: this certification is the modern successor to the retired AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty. If you were studying "AWS Data Analytics", the Data Engineer - Associate (exam DEA-C01) is the current certification.

The questions are scenario-based - you pick the right data service and design for the job. You register through your AWS Certification account.
