Microsoft 365 Teams Administrator (MS-700) is Microsoft's job-role certification for administering Microsoft Teams. It proves you can plan and configure a Teams environment (governance, security and lifecycle), manage chat, teams, channels and apps, manage meetings and live events, and manage Teams voice - calling, call queues, auto attendants and Teams Phone. The exam has about 40 to 60 questions and can include case studies. It is graded on a scaled score: you need 700 on a scale of 1 to 1000 to pass. Because scoring is weighted, 700 does not mean 70% of questions correct. The exam costs about US$165 (varies by region) and is delivered through Pearson VUE. There is no formal prerequisite, but Microsoft recommends experience administering Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.
Microsoft Teams is central to how most organisations communicate, and administering it well - especially the voice/calling side - is a valued skill. MS-700 proves you can run Teams day to day, supports collaboration and unified-communications administrator roles, and pairs naturally with endpoint administration (MD-102). As a job-role credential it carries real weight with employers - and Microsoft's free annual renewal keeps it current at no ongoing cost.
