The Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert credential (exam MS-102) validates the ability to deploy, manage and secure a Microsoft 365 tenant at enterprise scale. This course prepares you for the exam: deploying and managing a Microsoft 365 tenant; implementing and managing Microsoft Entra identity and access; managing security and threats using Microsoft 365 Defender (Defender XDR); and managing compliance using Microsoft Purview. Two important points. First, the MS-102 exam and this certification are scheduled to retire on 30 November 2026 - they remain available until then, and anyone who passes before that date earns the credential and keeps it on their Microsoft transcript. Second, to be awarded the credential you must also hold a qualifying Associate certification - MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-700 (Teams Administrator), SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator) or SC-401 (Information Security Administrator). Any one qualifies; AZ-900 (Fundamentals) does not count. If you do not yet hold one, earn it first (we offer those courses too). Confirm the current qualifying list and the successor path on the Microsoft site.
Microsoft 365 runs the modern workplace, and the Administrator Expert credential is Microsoft's senior certification for the people who deploy, secure and manage it. It proves you can run an enterprise M365 tenant end to end - identity with Microsoft Entra, security with Microsoft 365 Defender, and compliance with Microsoft Purview. It is an Expert credential with a required Associate prerequisite, and it is available until 30 November 2026 - so it is a strong, time-limited credential for senior M365 administrators to secure now.
