The Salesforce Certified Application Architect is a capstone credential that recognises the ability to design secure, scalable Salesforce applications. Crucially, there is no separate Application Architect exam - the credential is automatically granted when you hold four component certifications, in any order: - Platform App Builder - declarative (point-and-click) app building and data modelling - Platform Developer I - programmatic building with Apex and Lightning Web Components - Platform Data Architect (formerly Data Architecture and Management Designer) - enterprise data modelling, large data volumes and data management - Sharing and Visibility Architect (formerly Sharing and Visibility Designer) - the security, sharing and visibility model Our bundle course prepares you for all four component exams, each delivered by Pearson VUE (voucher via Trailhead Academy). There is no separate credential fee and no passing score for the credential itself; your cost is the sum of the four component exam fees (recently about $1,200 total; confirm current), and each component exam has its own passing score to confirm in its official exam guide.
Application Architect is one of the most respected credentials on the Salesforce architect track. It proves you can design secure, scalable Salesforce applications across data modelling, sharing and visibility, and both declarative and programmatic building - and it is a major step, alongside System Architect, toward the Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
