Course Overview

PRINCE2 Risk Management - the certification formerly known as M_o_R (Management of Risk), 4th edition - is a globally recognised framework for managing risk across a whole organisation. Rather than treating risk as a project-only concern, it shows how to manage risk consistently at every level: strategic, portfolio, programme, project and product. You will learn the M_o_R principles, the different perspectives from which risk is viewed, and the processes for identifying, assessing and responding to risk - including how people and culture (such as cognitive bias) affect risk decisions. The framework is aligned with the international standard ISO 31000 and is designed to support corporate governance and enterprise risk management, so it creates and protects value across the organisation. PRINCE2 Risk Management is delivered by PeopleCert - the same globally recognised examination body behind PRINCE2 and ITIL. It comes in two levels: Foundation (understand the framework and terminology) and Practitioner (apply and tailor it to real scenarios). You must pass Foundation before taking Practitioner.
