PRINCE2 Portfolio Management - the certification formerly known as MoP (Management of Portfolios) - is the globally recognised standard for portfolio management. A portfolio is all the programmes and projects an organisation is running. Portfolio management is how leaders decide which ones to invest in, prioritise and balance them, and govern them as a whole, alongside day-to-day operations - so that limited money and effort go to the changes that best deliver the strategy. It is often summed up as "doing the right things" (portfolio) rather than "doing things right" (programme and project). You will learn the MoP principles, techniques and practices: building the right portfolio, prioritising and balancing investments, portfolio governance, and delivering and reporting on the portfolio. PRINCE2 Portfolio Management is delivered by PeopleCert - the same globally recognised examination body behind PRINCE2 and ITIL. It comes in two levels: Foundation (understand the framework and terminology) and Practitioner (apply it). It is aimed at a senior audience - directors, heads of portfolio, and portfolio office staff.
