CompTIA Project+ is the recognised entry-level project management certification, with an IT focus. Projects are how organisations get things done, and someone has to plan them, keep them on track, and bring them to a successful close. Project+ proves you understand how to do that. You will learn the essentials: project management concepts and terms; the project life cycle and its phases (from starting up to closing down); project roles, teams and communication; and the tools and documentation that keep a project organised - schedules, budgets, change control and reporting. It also covers the IT and governance basics that matter when projects involve technology. Project+ is lighter and broader than PMP (from PMI) or PRINCE2 (from PeopleCert). It has no prerequisites and no experience requirement, which makes it an excellent first project management certification - and a natural stepping stone to those more advanced certifications, which we also offer. It is earned by passing a single exam (PK0-005), taken at a Pearson VUE test centre or online with OnVUE proctoring.
