CompTIA A+ Training and Exam prep | Job-ready certification for IT support
Group Enrollment with Friends or Colleagues |
CompTIA A+ is the world's most recognised entry-level IT certification and the standard employers look for when hiring IT support and help- desk technicians. It proves you have the practical, hands-on skills to keep an organisation's technology running. You will learn to install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and mobile devices; install and support operating systems and software; set up and secure small networks; apply essential cybersecurity; work with virtualisation and cloud basics; and follow professional operational procedures. The focus is practical: solving the real problems an IT technician faces every day. CompTIA A+ is vendor-neutral and recognised worldwide. It is earned by passing two exams - Core 1 and Core 2 - each taken at a Pearson VUE test centre or online with OnVUE proctoring. You must pass both to be certified. There is no formal prerequisite, though some hands-on experience (or our CompTIA Tech+ course) helps. A+ is the anchor of the CompTIA ladder. After A+, Network+ and Security+ are the natural next steps. This course prepares you for both A+ exams.
A+ is the certification that gets you hired in IT support. It is recognised by employers worldwide as proof you can do the job from day one, and it is often the minimum requirement listed on help-desk and support job ads. It is also recognised in US Department of Defense (DoD 8140) role frameworks, which matters for government and defence roles.
