The Snowflake SnowPro Advanced: Administrator Certification is an advanced, role-based credential for experienced practitioners who administer, secure and optimise Snowflake environments. It validates practical administration skill across Snowflake security, RBAC and user administration, account management and data governance, database objects and virtual warehouse management, performance monitoring, tuning and optimisation, and data sharing, replication and disaster recovery. The certification is earned by one exam (ADA-C02, the current version - ADA-C01 retired on 18 January 2026): approximately 65 questions in 115 minutes (multiple-choice and multiple-select, scenario-based), delivered via Pearson VUE. You pass with a scaled score of 750 out of 1000.
Every organisation running Snowflake needs administrators to keep it secure, governed, performant and cost-effective. The SnowPro Advanced: Administrator Certification proves you can manage Snowflake environments at a senior level - security and RBAC, account management, warehouse and performance tuning, and disaster recovery. It is a high-value credential that employers often reimburse, and it completes the SnowPro Advanced role-based set alongside Architect and Data Engineer.
