SPC Certification Training - Implementing SAFe | Hanux Learning
271Learners

Course Overview

The SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) is the advanced credential for the people who lead a SAFe implementation from the inside - internal change leaders, agile coaches and consultants. Crucially, an SPC is also qualified to teach most SAFe courses and certify learners, which is why SPCs are the trainers behind SAFe Agilist, SSM, POPM and other courses. Becoming an SPC means attending "Implementing SAFe", a four-day course delivered by Scaled Agile's most senior trainers, and passing the SPC exam (currently 60 questions in 120 minutes). Unlike the other SAFe courses, Implementing SAFe is delivered by Scaled Agile directly rather than by partners. SPC is not a beginner certification. Scaled Agile recommends significant experience - a strong grasp of Lean-Agile principles, and a background in consulting, project management, product leadership or portfolio management. Attending Leading SAFe (SAFe Agilist) first is commonly recommended. At Hanux Learning, our own trainers are SPCs, which is what allows us to deliver the SAFe role courses. On this page we explain what SPC is and how to become one; if you or your organisation want to build SAFe capability, talk to us and we will guide you.

For consultants and internal change leaders, it is a career- defining credential; for organisations, it is what makes running SAFe training in-house possible.

Course Curriculum

Eligibility

SPC is an advanced credential, and it is not a starting point. It suits experienced practitioners who will lead SAFe implementations or train others. Scaled Agile recommends significant background before you attend Implementing SAFe, typically including: - A solid grasp of Lean-Agile principles and ways of working - Several years of relevant experience - for example in consulting, project or programme management, product management, or portfolio management - Ideally, having attended Leading SAFe (SAFe Agilist) first - Experience participating in or supporting agile teams and programmes

Pre-requisites

This is guidance, not a rigid checklist - but SPC is demanding, and the exam (60 questions in 120 minutes) reflects that. If you are newer to SAFe, start with SAFe Agilist, gain experience, and build toward SPC over time. If your goal is to enable your organisation to run SAFe - ...
