Sustainability has moved from the margins to the centre of how projects are judged. ESG reporting rules are tightening, public and corporate buyers increasingly require environmental and social value from their suppliers, and organisations are setting hard sustainability targets. CSPP gives you a project-management lens on all of it - and because it is a foundational credential with a low barrier, it is one of the most accessible ways to prove sustainability capability on a project team.

Course Curriculum

Eligibility

CSPP has two versions. The one you take depends on a single question: do you already hold a qualifying project-management certification (or a Master's in project or program management)? Find your column below.

CERTIFIED PRACTITIONER (the shorter, faster version)NON-CERTIFIED PRACTITIONER (for those new to project management)
This is you if you hold a qualifying certification in good standing - PMP, CAPM, PgMP, PfMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner (Project/Programme/Portfolio), IPMA A-D, AACEI CCP, APM or AIPM - or a Master's degree with a project/program management concentration.
This is you if you do not hold a qualifying certification or degree - for example, you are new to project management.
You need: 12 hours of sustainability-in-PM education. Exam: 100 questions, 2 hours (Domains 1-5).
You need: a secondary diploma (high school, GED or global equivalent) and 20 hours of sustainability-in-PM education. No work experience required.
Note: a sustainability degree does not count as the qualifying certification.
Exam: 145 questions, 2 hours 55 minutes, with one 10-minute break (Domains 1-6 - it adds project-management basics).

Pre-requisites

Three things that apply to both versions: 1. The required training must be completed through PMI's CSPP Exam Prep Course or a PMI Authorized Training Partner before you can book the exam. We help you prepare and choose your pathway; the official training and exam are provided by ...
