Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300) training and exam prep - the job-role certification for managing identity and access with Microsoft Entra.
Group Enrollment with Friends or Colleagues |
Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300) is Microsoft's job-role certification for managing identity and access with Microsoft Entra. It proves you can implement and manage identities (users, groups and external identities), implement authentication and access management (multi-factor authentication, passwordless and conditional access), manage access for applications, and plan and implement identity governance (Privileged Identity Management, access reviews and entitlement management). The exam has about 40 to 60 questions and can include case studies. It is graded on a scaled score: you need 700 on a scale of 1 to 1000 to pass. Because scoring is weighted, 700 does not mean 70% of questions correct. The exam costs about US$165 (varies by region) and is delivered through Pearson VUE. There is no formal prerequisite, but Microsoft recommends experience with identity and Microsoft security technologies.
Identity is the foundation of modern security - "identity is the new perimeter" - and Microsoft Entra skills are in high demand. SC-300 proves you can manage identity and access day to day, supports identity and security administrator roles, and builds on SC-900 toward a full security career. As a job-role credential it carries real weight with employers - and Microsoft's free annual renewal keeps it current at no ongoing cost.
