The Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer proves you can implement efficient development operations on Google Cloud. It covers bootstrapping a Google Cloud organisation for DevOps; building and running CI/CD pipelines; applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices; implementing service monitoring strategies with SLOs, SLIs and error budgets; optimising service performance; and managing service incidents. Expect hands-on work with Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Artifact Registry, GKE, Cloud Operations (Monitoring, Logging, Trace, Profiler, Error Reporting), and infrastructure as code with Terraform. The exam has 50-60 questions (multiple-choice and multiple-select) in 120 minutes. It is graded pass/fail - Google does not publish a numeric passing score. It costs about US$200 and is taken online with remote proctoring or at a test centre, delivered through Pearson VUE. You register through Google's certification portal. The certification is valid for two years; you renew by retaking the exam.
