ISACA AAIA (Advanced in AI Audit) is the first advanced, audit-specific AI certification, launched in 2025. As organisations deploy AI across their operations, they need auditors who can give assurance over those AI systems - checking that AI is governed, controlled, compliant and delivering value without unintended harm. AAIA proves you can do exactly that, building on your existing audit expertise. You will cover the three AAIA areas: AI governance and risk; AI operations; and AI audit tools and techniques. The exam is scenario-based, testing applied judgement rather than memorised facts, and is scored on ISACA's 200-800 scale with 450 required to pass (confirm current details on isaca.org).
AI audit is one of the fastest-growing specialisms in assurance. As organisations deploy AI, boards and regulators want independent assurance that it is governed and controlled - and there are very few people qualified to provide it.
