The Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate credential (exam AZ-802) validates the ability to administer Windows Server across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments. This course prepares you for the exam: Active Directory Domain Services and identity; hybrid management with Azure Arc; virtualisation with Hyper-V and containers; networking; storage; security; and monitoring, troubleshooting, migration and recovery. Two important notes. First, AZ-802 is the new single exam that replaces the two-exam AZ-800 (core hybrid infrastructure) + AZ-801 (advanced hybrid services) path; AZ-800 and AZ-801 retire on 30 September 2026, and until then they remain a valid way to earn the certification. Second, AZ-802 is currently a beta exam - it is available to sit, but Microsoft is still finalising it (scores are delayed and objectives may change), so confirm the latest details on the Microsoft site.
