GitHub Administration training (GH-100) - the intermediate GitHub certification for enterprise administration. Manage identity, access, security and governance.

The GitHub Administration certification (exam GH-100) is the intermediate administration credential from GitHub (a Microsoft subsidiary). It validates the ability to administer GitHub at organisation and enterprise level. This course prepares you for the exam: supporting GitHub Enterprise users and recommending workflows; managing identities and access (SAML single sign-on, two-factor authentication, SCIM provisioning); access control with organisations, teams and repository permissions; security and compliance (audit logs); GitHub Actions runner management and workflow distribution; and GitHub Packages configuration and integration. A few facts are specific to GitHub certifications - and different from Microsoft Azure exams. The fee is US $99 (varies by region), not US $165. The exam is proctored and scored on a scale: recent sources for the current GitHub exams indicate a passing score of 700 out of 1000 - a scaled score, not a percentage, so confirm on the official study guide and never assume "70%". Since 1 July 2025, GitHub exams are booked with a Microsoft Learn account and delivered by Pearson VUE, and the badge appears in your Microsoft Learn profile.
Large organisations run GitHub at scale, and someone has to administer it - identity and access, organisations and teams, security and compliance, runners and packages. GH-100 proves you can do exactly that. As companies standardise on GitHub Enterprise, well-run administration keeps thousands of developers secure and productive, and this credential targets the platform-administration roles that make it happen.
